Using Pages

What are Pages?

Pages are individual urls from your website submitted by the plugin. A page is submitted when you install BlogGlue and anytime a user visits a page on your site. BlogGlue can only see pages the plugin is installed on. We strongly recommend ensuring all pages have distinct URLs. If you don't see any pages in the system, chances are your plugin needs to be installed.

Why don't I see pages?

First the plugin needs to be installed. Second, each page submitted must be visited by at least one person. You may also be over your account limit, see the pricing page for recommended posts limit details.

What are linked pages?

Pages that BlogGlue has processed and connected with your partners are in the linked tab. These pages will show the plugin with links. There is a small delay for any caching we use between this list and your live site, the plugin may not show links immediately.

What are pending pages?

Pages that have been submitted from your website by the plugin but not yet processed by BlogGlue are listed under the pending tab. These pages will move to the error or linked tabs once BlogGlue is done processing them, usually within the hour.

What are error pages?

Pages that have some sort of error on them preventing BlogGlue from properly connecting them with partner posts are displayed under the error tab. These pages can be analyzed by clicking Test Now. If the error persists it will be shown, otherwise the page will be scheduled for processing and move to the pending list tab. We periodically remove all error pages from the list.

Can I delete pages?

No, the system automatically checks if pages have been removed every few days. If a page has been removed it is moved to the error tab. We periodically remove all error pages from the list.

Can I move pages?

Yes, BlogGlue will detect when a page URL has changed and assign a new one to it. The plugin should show the same links on both URLs.

What is a "Couldn't reach page" error?

A couldn't reach page error means that our system was not able to find your page on the web. BlogGlue will only process pages publicly accesible through a browser. If you delete the page, run an aggresive bot blocker, traffic limiter, or have a firewall the page will produce a connect error. Typically you should not run the BlogGlue plugin on pages that result in connect errors.

What is a "Couldn't parse page" error?

A couldn't parse page error indicates something is wrong with the HTML on that page. You may have malformed HTMl syntax or be missing entire sections of required HTML on a standard page. The Test Now button will let you know more about the error.

What is a "Duplicate Page" error?

A duplicate page error occurs on pages that have the same content and/or titles as another page already in the system. To avoid this error ensure each page has only one unique URL and unique titles. Google suggests you specify a canonical meta tag on each page to ensure each page is seen as unique.
